(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On June 18, 2020 shortly before 5:00 p.m, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 401 Westbound (between Dickinson Road and Upper Canada Road ), South Dundas Township.
Shortly before 5:00 p.m, a westbound passenger vehicle collided with a westbound tractor trailer on Highway 401.
The passenger, Richard HESSE-ANDRE (age 22) of Cornwall, Ontario of the westbound vehicle was pronounced deceased at scene.
SD&G OPP continued to investigate with the assistance of OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) and OPP Reconstructionist.

Cornwall Woman Facing Charges Following Fatal Crash With Tractor Trailer

Police are charging a woman following a two-car-collision back in June that resulted in the death of a man from Cornwall.
On June 18, officers from the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP responded to the collision between Dickinson Road and Upper Canada Road in South Dundas, just before 5 p.m. on Highway 401.
Police say the crash saw a car going westbound collided with a westbound tractor trailer along the highway.
The passenger in the car, 22-year-old Richard Hesse-Andre of Cornwal was pronounced dead at the scene.
Chesterton Town Council enacts downtown snow parking ban

At its meeting Monday night, the Chesterton Town Council voted unanimously to enact the annual snow parking ban in the Downtown.
The snow ban took effect at 2:01 a.m. today, as requested by Street Commissioner John Schnadenberg.
The ban prohibits parking on select streets between 12 and 8 a.m. during or after snows of two inches or more: South Calumet Road from Porter Ave. to the Norfolk Southern grade-crossing. Broadway from South Calumet Road to Sixth Street. Second and Third streets from Broadway to West Indiana Ave.
