On Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1936, the Standard-Freeholder front page was full of interesting headlines covering a wide-range of subjects: “Find Stolen Furs In Secret Cache; Two Arrests Made,” “Cornwall Couple Complete 50 Years of Married Life,” and the one that would have garnered the most attention, “Enthusiastic Crowd At Arena Opening On Monday Night.”
