The heritage corridor project was planned to beautify and develop areas within 75-metre radius surrounding the shrine’s boundary wall
BHUBANESWAR: The assembly on Saturday passed a unanimous resolution to allow Jagannath devotees to contribute in cash or kind for the ambitious heritage corridor project around the temple. It also passed two other resolutions to work in unison for early completion of the project and to thank the people of Puri, who have sacrificed their land for it.
Moving the three resolutions through video-conference, chief minister Naveen Patnaik said, “Every Odia and Jagannath devotee has a wish/desire to participate in this work of Mahaprabhu (Lord Jagannath) and to have some contribution. We will give the opportunity to all. If we all make a contribution for the development of the dham of Lord Jagannath, it will be our good fortune as an Odia.”
