RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Two years after starting operations in Peru, the Chilean low-cost Sky Airline reported that it has achieved a market share of 17%, which has allowed it to become the second airline with the most passengers in the country.
Since its landing in April 2019, it has flown more than 2.1 million travelers in Peru, of which 52% corresponds to 2019, 37% in 2020, and the rest so far in 2021.
Sky Peru’s general manager José Raúl Vargas said that there are plans to acquire more aircraft and expand routes both within the country and abroad.
“We continue to pursue our commitment to Peru’s connectivity, so, despite the pandemic, we have planned the arrival of more aircraft and the evaluation of new domestic and international routes,” he said.
