Platte Floral hoping to fulfill 1,000 orders on Mother’s Day 2021, still accepting walk-in orders
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) Platte Floral has been helping customers say everything from “I love you” to “I’m sorry” for a hundred years, but what they might help people say the most is Happy Mother s Day.
Gene Wright, a designer at Platte Floral, said Mother s Day is their busiest holiday after Valentine s Day each year. It s a celebration of their life, said Wright. Without moms, there would be no life.
Though there isn t a shortage of flower orders for 2021 Mother s Day, there is a shortage of supplies it s the aftermath of several farms closing because of the pandemic.
