GREENE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - A former Greene County sheriffâs lieutenant arrested in 2019 pleaded guilty to stealing over $30,000 of FBI money.
According to a media release Monday from Cody Hiland, Office of the United States Attorney Eastern District of Arkansas, Scott Pillow pleaded guilty to one count of theft of government funds.
The investigation began in 2019 after investigators received information that Pillow was abusing his role with the Greene County Sheriffâs Office.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A former Green County sheriff’s lieutenant has pleaded guilty to stealing over $30,000 used in a ruse undercover drug operation. Allen Scott Pillow, 56, of Paragould, pleaded guilty Monday one count of theft of government funds. Cody Hiland, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas, and Diane Upchurch, Special Agent in Charge of the Little Rock Field Office of the FBI, announced the guilty plea. Pillow entered his plea earlier Monday before United States District Judge Lee P. Rudofsky.

On November 4, 2019, FBI parked a rental vehicle in a commercial parking lot in Paragould and staged a glass drug pipe in the vehicle along with a red backpack containing $76,000. The cash was divided into ten bundles of $7,600 each, and investigators recorded the serial numbers.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A North Carolina man was sentenced late Monday after traveling to Arkansas twice to have sex with a minor he enticed over the Internet. United States District Court Judge Brian S. Miller sentenced Jonathan Berrier, 53, of Lexington, North Carolina, to 180 months in federal prison. In January 2017, Berrier reached out to a 13-year-old minor on Facebook, and they began talking through text messaging and telephone as well. The conversations became sexual in nature and continued through spring 2018. As the sexual content of their conversations increased, the defendant sent gifts and packages to the minor, which included cell phones.
