Fayette saw the highest turnout for a midterm election in more than two decades, according to its election warden. In Hallowell, nearly 2,000 of Hallowell's 2,300 registered voters had cast their ballots by noon on Tuesday, according to City Clerk Diane Polky.
The questions will ask residents if they approve renovating the old fire station to house the police and whether they support a multi-bay public works facility.
