The Duke of Edinburgh personally selected insignia from Denmark and Greece to lie on the altar at his funeral today in a nod to his heritage.
Prince Philip s chosen insignia, the medals and decorations conferred on him by the UK and Commonwealth countries and his Royal Air Force wings and Field Marshal s baton will be sewn onto nine cushions on the altar of St George s Chapel.
