REPUBLIC, MI – Dennis Floyd Hill, 78, of Republic, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, January 24, 2021, at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
Dennis was born October 19, 1942, in Toledo, OH, to Floyd and Phyllis (Thomas) Hill and graduated from Bronson High School. He continued his education at Northern Michigan University where he completed the Police Academy in 1966. Dennis worked as a police officer for the Marquette Police Department for numerous years.
Mr. Hill fiercely loved Jehovah, his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was instrumental in helping raise two of his grandsons who lost their father young. He was well known for his love of nature and animals, and worried about all animals on the planet.
