An Indianapolis man who prosecutors say used a dating app to target members of the LGBTQ community has been sentenced to at least 27 years in jail for the killing of a Michigan man.
Diabolique Paris Johnson used gay dating apps to find his victims, prosecutors said. He pleaded guilty to the fatal shooting of 39-year-old Joshua J. Smelser inside his Detroit home on Sept. 5, 2020.
