Diablo’s Southwest Grill was robbed around 4 a.m. on Saturday (April 3).
Carl Wallace, who has owned the restaurant for nearly a decade, told
CNN that he was angry and frustrated at first, before feeling bad for the person who committed the crime. He added that forgiveness seemed like the appropriate response, especially during Easter weekend.
Wallace shared photos on Facebook following the break-in, which garnered thousands of reactions and hundreds of comments.
“Our burritos are such a smash hit we’ve got people breaking in at 4am for their fix. So if ya see our door looking hurricane fabulous at Wheeler Rd this is why.
