TANGAIL, Mar 5, 2021 (BSS) – Agriculture Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has put Bangladesh in a dignified position in the world through her farsighted and strong leadership.
“She made Bangladesh to graduate to a developing nation. The whole world now is lauding her leadership. She has proven herself to be the most honest, able and successful leader. Bangladesh would become a prosperous country under her leadership,” he said.
The minister came up with the observations while inaugurating a training programme on information and communication technology in women empowerment in Dhanbari Government College in Tangail this morning.

Tangail is in for a bumper mustard yield this year due to favourable weather conditions. Farmers are also very happy being offered better prices in local markets.
They took on cultivating the cash crop just after facing devastating and prolonged floods. Support from the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) was at hand.
‘Samaloy’ method in agriculture reduces time, labor: Razzak

DHAKA, Feb 20, 2021 (BSS) – Agriculture Minister M Abdur Razzak today said applying ‘Samaloy’ method in cultivation would reduce the use of machinery, farmer’s time and labor cost.
“Farmers will be benefited using ‘Samaloy’ method as it would reduce their time, labor and using machinery… Taka 4500 would be reduced per acre using this method,” he said.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of planting of rice saplings in 50 acres of land through rice transplant in ‘Samaloy’ system at Kendua village in Dhanbari upazila of Tangail district.
The event was organized by the Department of Agricultural Extension, said a press release.
Sports can protect children from going astray: Razzaque

TANGAIL, Jan 1, 2021 (BSS) – Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque today said sports can keep children away from going astray.
“Sports are a means of pure pleasure and healthy entertainment. Healthy thinking consciousness of one develops through sports,” he said at the inaugural session of a Hadudu competition on the Mushuddi Afaz Uddin High School ground in Dhanbari upazila of the district.
Razzaque said many children of the country get involved in drug abuse, militancy and other misdeeds.
“If these children are involved in healthy entertainment like sports, they will get pure joy and their minds will be cheerful. They will be able to focus on good deeds. And children will not go astray,” he said.
