SINN Féin Councillor Siobhán Currie has called on Council officials to explore funding options for the reconstruction of the Roscor Viaduct. At a meeting of the Environmental Services Committee of the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council on January 13, Councillor Currie proposed that the council explore potential funding options for the reconstruction of the viaduct, which was seconded by party colleague, Councillor Anthony Feely, and unanimously supported. “The Roscor Viaduct is the only piece of bridge infrastructure damaged during the conflict [The Troubles] that has not been replaced, the Erne North Councillor said. “Potential funding, such as the Shared Island Fund, may offer opportunities to restore the viaduct and I have asked Council officers to investigate all potential funding avenues.
