Mobile man recently released from prison in 2006 drug case charged with murder
Updated 1:44 PM;
A man booked into Mobile County Metro Jail on a murder charge Monday night recently had been released from federal prison following his 2006 sentencing in a crack cocaine distribution and money laundering case.
Jail records show that Demetric Richardson, 42, was booked into the jail on charges of murder and resisting arrest. The murder charge appeared new, while jail records seemed to indicate that the resisting arrest warrant dated back to 2005.
Tuesday morning, police said that police believe Richardson is responsible for the April 10 death of Dewon Donaldson on Ann Street. Donaldson, 40, was found dead of multiple gunshots in the 200 block of North Ann Street at around 9:18 a.m. on April 10.
