The CBI has filed a new case against DHFL's Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan for allegedly defrauding a group of 17 banks, including the Union Bank of India, to the tune of Rs 34,615 crore.
The old private sector bank’s stock today crashed by 22 per cent to Rs 87 per share. There are fears of likely hidden NPAs and the shift to low yielding secured and higher rated corporate loans, which will impact shareholders returns in the short to medium term.
Subramaniakumar has replaced the bank’s former MD and CEO, Vishwavir Ahuja, who turned around the old private sector bank and also presided over its fall from grace.
