Composer Claire Cowan wrote the score to the Royal NZ Ballet’s 2019 production of Hansel and Gretel to great acclaim, now she’s recorded and released it with the NZSO. Long after the pointe shoes have been taken off tired feet, stage makeup has been scraped off faces, and tutus have been hung on the racks, the music of the ballet lingers.
