This morning two major weather systems are sweeping into the united states. One is blanketing the plains with arcticlike air, and the other is hitting california with potentially floodproducing rain. Northern california was socked yesterday with rain and strong wind. Urban flooding is possible in San Francisco through tomorrow. The heavy rain caused a mudslide along the Pacific Coast highway. A sixmile stretch of the road was shut down. On saturday powerful waves pounded the boardwalk. At Redondo Beach homes and roads were flooded and some homes were evacuated. Nationally known educational writer and he and i would go hiking a lot. Reporter a hike is the last place anyone thought ruenzel would be in danger, but tuesday afternoon he was found shot dade on a park trail in the huckle berry preserve, part of the bay area regional bay system. Witnesses described two men on the trail before the gunshots, and have released these composite sketches. They believe rob we was motive, but those who know ruenzel sid say at most he had a phone and wallet on him and rarely carried cash. Look at this, in the low 70s, many areas of the shanendoah valley. Cooler on the bay, and national has a breeze off the what you are, so that is keeping them in the low 60s. But what a great start. The problem is tomorrow morning, with this cold coming in and the overrunning moisture, there will be areas, especially north and west, we could have pockets of sleet and freezing rain for the Tuesday Morning rush hour.
