The Fountain Police Department announced Saturday evening that Officer Julian Becerra has died from his injuries suffered in a fall during a police pursuit on Feb 2.
The man behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle that led officers on a high speed chase last Thursday had escaped from a community corrections program in Pueblo in December.
The Fountain police officer, Julian Becerra, who fell from a bridge in pursuit last week is on life support, said Fountain police spokesperson Lisa Schneider.
