The Senate has summoned three constitutional bodies in its probe on a decades-old Maseno boundary dispute that has dogged Kisumu, Siaya and Vihiga counties.
The Devolution Committee chaired by Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang’ will be seeking to establish if the National Lands Commission (NLC), the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) are aware of the dispute and what progress, if any, has been made to settle the matter.
The meeting that is scheduled for this week follows a petition by 16 residents of Vihiga who are laying claim to three sub-locations presently domiciled in Kisumu County.

KARACHI: Expecting to attract $1 billion in investments, the Sindh government on Wednesday announced February 9, 2021 as the last day to submit bids for developing $120 million Dhabeji Special Economic Zone (DSEZ).
“DSEZ is a priority project under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and is well on course to be developed under public private partnership through an international competitive bidding process,” participants of a pre-bid meeting were informed. The conference was hosted by Sindh Special Economic Zones Management Company (SEZMC) in collaboration with Sindh Investment Department and Federal Board of Investment on Wednesday.

The government of Sindh has announced the submission deadline to register tenders for developing the US$ 120 million Dhabeji Special Economic Zone (DSEZ). With the bidding process expected to reel in US$ 1 billion in investments, international capitalists from China and other countries have until February 9, 2021, to submit their proposals.
