Alabama Baseball Drops Series Opener at LSU, 2-1
A solid start on the mound for Tyler Ras wasn t enough as the Crimson Tide fell in a low-scoring affair

Despite a solid start on the mound by Tyler Ras for Alabama baseball, the Crimson Tide bats were ineffective en route to a 2-1 loss at the hands of LSU on Friday night in Baton Rouge.
In six and two-thirds innings, Ras gave up just two runs off of four hits, walked three and struck out eight batters.
“Our kids really brought it tonight, really, really competed, Alabama coach Brad Bohannon said. We made a couple of very costly mistakes and LSU didn’t make any. Really, what the game came down to, is their pitchers beat us in RBI-situations. We had guys on base all night.

AUBURN, Ala. (WAFB) - It was a back-and-forth game between LSU and Auburn in game two of the weekend series at Plainsman Park in Auburn, Alabama.
The Tigers (29-17, 9-14 SEC) scored six runs in the last three innings to win the series against Auburn (19-22, 5-18 SEC). The Bayou Bengals have won seven out of their last eight series against Auburn.
Entering the seventh inning LSU trailed Auburn 5-3 and LSU got things going offensively. Dylan Crews would cut the Auburn lead to 5-4 with a RBI fielders choice to make it 5-4.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The LSU Tigers avoided the sweep against No. 1 Arkansas in game two of Saturdayâs doubleheader holding on to a 5-4 win.
The Tigers (26-17, 7-14 SEC) scored five runs on seven hits to take down the Razorbacks who rallied in the top of the ninth inning with three runs to make things interesting at make it a 5-4 game.
Devin Fontenot would strike out Zack Gregory to end the threat in the ninth. Arkansas would load the bases in the top of the ninth inning and a sac-fly and a two-run single would narrow the lead for LSU to 5-4.

OXFORD, Miss. (WAFB) - The LSU Tigers (23-14, 5-11 SEC) scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to upset No. 9 Ole Miss 5-4 at Swazye Field in Oxford, Miss. to take game one of the series.
Dylan Crews hit the go ahead two-run home run to take a 5-4 lead over Ole Miss in the seventh.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - LSU and AJ Labas were seemingly in control for much of the first game of a seven inning doubleheader against No. 5 South Carolina on Saturday, April 17. However, things quickly changed in the top of the seventh inning when the Gamecocks scored four runs on four hits to take a 4-2 win.
LSU (21-13, 4-10 SEC) got things started in the bottom of the first inning when Cade Doughty ripped a two out RBI double to left field to score Gavin Dugas from first to take a 1-0 lead.
