0 affairs correspondent wendell goler is live with latest. wendell, what are analysts saying about these numbers? reporter: jenna, they think the economy weathered the 16-day government slowdown, shutdown, reasonably well. labor department workers who crunched the numbers weren t working during the shutdown. precise ememployment figures have been delayed. we won t get the october jobs report for another week. temporary layoffs during the shutdown are expected to hold back the october jobs number and september jobs number was below expectations though the unemployment rate fell because fewer people were looking for jobs. economists say the shutdown made people cautious about spending home sales suffered as a result of that. republicans think the affordable care act will discourage hiring because the requirement that companies with more than 50 workers provide them with jobs but white house says there is no evidence that obamacare is having an impact on jobs yet, jenna. jenna: there s
