The Avalanches take out the 16th annual Australian Music Prize, for the electronic duoâs third album
We Will Always Love You.
Bandmates Robbie Chater and Tony Di Blasi snagged the top prize, announced Wednesday afternoon (March 1), beating out 88 nominated LPs and a final shortlist of eight.
The AMP is awarded to the outstanding Australian album of original work from the previous year, as decided by a music industry panel.
