Freehold Raceway held three $70,000 harness racing finals of the New Jersey Sire Stakes Standardbred Development Fund Friday (Oct. 6) afternoon for two-year-old trotting fillies, two-year-old trotting colts and three-year-old pacing fillies. Three $70,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Standardbred Development Fund finals took place on Friday, Oct. 6 at the Freehold Raceway half-mile oval two trot finals for two-year-olds and one for three-year-old pacing fillies. George Brennan drove two of the three stakes winners on the 11-race card.
The New Jersey Sire Stakes season for two-year-olds got underway on Friday night (June 24) at The Meadowlands and it looks like trainer Linda Toscano has a good filly on her hands as her Ucandoit Blue Chip scored from just off the pace in 1:51.4 in one of three $30,000 divisions for pacers.
