Meth w/The Holy Ghost Tabernacle Choir Meth, a heavy and experimental band from Chicago, brings a new album, Shame, released this month, to the Ybor Heights brewery where the walls might melt an account of the guttural, sometimes droning assault and pain pouring out of vocalist Seb Alvarez who grapples with his then-undiagnosed bi-polar and unchecked addiction issues across 42 intense minutes.

Hellshine Fest After the initial music-only festival goes down at Crowbar on Friday and Saturday, the Hellshine party moves down to Deviant Libation on Sunday afternoon, for a free market selling, according to an Instagram post, “killer art, records, oddities, jewelry, scents, libations, and more.” More information is at @hellshine fest on Instagram.
Devalued w/Jar/Dirtwitch Tampa biker bar and venue Born Free is dusting itself off after abruptly losing its lease, and some of the shows booked there ahead of the closure are finding their way, too. This one is headed to Ybor Heights’ Deviant Libation, five miles away, where ultra-heavy, unhinged Miami metal band Devalued plays in support of II - Host, a sprawling blend of heady, mostly instrumental hardcore and grindcore that’ll pair well with the unwaveringly weird and wonderful beers created by Deviant Libation’s Tim Ogden.
