It was a phone call that Lisa Finley will never forget, it was the last time she heard the voice of her cherished daughter.
Shortly before 10 a.m. Monday, Iderrika Finley called her mom, who was also her best friend, in a panic.
Iderrika was on the interstate on her way to work and the brakes were seemingly failing on her Toyota 4 Runner.
A CVS pharmacy technician who was to give birth next month, Iderrika was traveling northbound on Interstate 59/20 when she called her mother.
“She was telling me, ‘The truck won’t stop, the truck won’t stop. Help me, Mommy, help me,’’ Finley said. “Then I heard a scream and a crash, and I didn’t hear anything else.”
