New grocery store on the horizon

Aldi, a discount supermarket chain, paid $1.35 million for 2.6 acres at Rangeline Crossing on Rangeline Road and Interstate 10 in Tillman’s Corner, according to Vallas Realty, which represented the seller, 24/7 Development Partners of Alabama. Rangeline Crossing is an 84-acre site that includes the 60,000-square-foot outpatient facility for the Veterans Administration, as well as Foosackly’s, Whataburger, Starbucks and other businesses. Capital Growth Real Estate represented Aldi.
A local investor paid $850,000 for 3.4 acres on Ala. 181 in Fairhope adjacent to the proposed Aldi grocery store site, according to Vallas Realty, who represented the buyer. Capital Growth Real Estate worked for the seller.
