The Overall Program consisted of transferring 29 of the Housing Authority profits to local nonprofit and private housing organizations for recapitalization, renovation, and private management. This mammoth Citywide Program which included almost 3500 units of Affordable Housing throughout San Francisco required the collaboration of a host of public agencies, developers, consultants, contractors, funders, and, most importantly, the residents of Hunters Point eastwest and westbrook themselves.
