VP Saleh Stresses Diaspora’s Effective Cooperation With Afghan Government

Kabul (BNA) First Vice President, Amrullah Saleh spoke via video conference with the Experts for Relief and Development of Afghanistan (ERADA) here yesterday, a statement said.
First Vice President Amrullah Saleh spoke about the establishment of the diaspora directorate, the government’s efforts to advance the peace process, economic development and the health sector, the first VP press office added.
VP Saleh, as quoted in the statement, also emphasized that the experiences and expertise of the diaspora should be used effectively to bring about reforms, coordination with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in advancing the inclusive peace process and the development of the health sector in the country. VP also said the diaspora’s policy needs more enrichment and work.
Japan provides $9.89 million for project to promote cross-border trade on Tajik-Afghan border

AKIPRESS.COM - Official singing ceremony of the new phase of LITACA project aimed at improving livelihoods in Tajik-Afghan cross border areas was held on December 16 in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan. UNDP will implement the third phase of the project, funded by the Government of Japan, between 2021 and 2024 with a total budget of $9.89 million.
UNDP has been implementing the project in close cooperation with the governments of Tajikistan and Afghanistan since 2014. LITACA III is continuation to this flagship partnership between JICA, UNDP, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of Afghanistan.
