Montgomery picks firm to plan Paterson Court, Centennial Hill revitalization

A revitalization effort in Montgomery s Paterson Court and Centennial Hill communities is a step closer to reality.
The city and the Montgomery Housing Authority landed a $450,000 planning grant in January for the project. On Wednesday, they announced that APD Urban Planning was picked to lead the design and planning efforts for the revitalization.
The federal grant was one of 11 awarded through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development s Choice Neighborhoods Initiative to help local leaders transform neighborhoods. Mayor Steven Reed s office said the local award will be used to stimulate affordable housing and economic development in Paterson Court neighborhood and the whole Centennial Hill community.
