USA Niagara Development Corp. (USAN) board of directors met today and approved items that will improve the quality of life and experience in Niagara Falls for both visitors and residents. One item will help meet the city s need for local housing and commercial spaces that will boost pedestrian activity. A second item will help to structurally stabilize a historic property at a state park for future use.

TOLEDO, Ohio Up from four from last year, the city of Toledo announced there will be seven free disposal days at the Hoffman Road Landfill this year.
Toledo residents can bring a truck or trailer load of accepted bulky solid waste items for free disposal to the landfill, located at 3962 Hoffman Rd., on any of these dates: May 8, June 5, July 10, Aug. 7, Sept. 11, Oct. 23 and Nov. 27.
You can drop your trash off from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on each of these dates.

Walter Crafts Jr., 86, of Lewes passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. He was born Nov. 3, 1934, in Flushing, N.Y., son of the late Walter and Suzanne (Clifton) Crafts.
Walter spent his childhood years in Niagara Falls, N.Y. He attended the DeVeaux School, a military prep school founded in 1852 and administered by the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York. Walter first attended Oberlin College in Ohio, and subsequently received a bachelor of science degree in management and production from Babson College in Wellesley, Mass. While at Babson, he was a member of the Student Government, the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity, and the Blue Key National Honor Fraternity.
