TWO WOMEN feared for their life after a thug put a knife to their faces. Melissa Brown and Megan Ryan were attacked by Daniel Walsh at a property in Glasgow’s Carmyle on November 22 2020. Walsh, Miss Brown’s ex-husband, also put his arm over her throat her during the horror ordeal.
READ MORE: He pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday to assaulting the two women. The court heard the Walsh and Miss Brown had been in a relationship since 2006 which ended in 2018. Walsh had been at the property earlier that day looking for Miss Brown who was not there.
A THUG who made a police officer fear for his life was jailed on Tuesday for 27 months. Christopher Ward, 32, raced off as Alasdair Zasada, 31, clung on to his car in Glasgow’s Carmyle on July 27 2019. The constable later remarked: “I had the genuine and honest held belief that my life was in danger.”
READ MORE: Ward was earlier chased by police after he assaulted the family of his lover Jade Walker. He attempted to board a ferry to Belfast but was caught due to having a warrant for his arrest. Ward pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to four assaults, dangerous driving, driving while his licence was revoked and the unlawful possession of screwdriver.
“He wasn’t for leaving and various threats were issued. “He said he was going to burn the shop down and this continued for 10 to 15 minutes before the police arrived. “The shopkeeper didn’t see the knife and it wasn’t brandished.”

Bosses at Glasgow and Edinburgh airports called for duty-free shops for arrivals to boost sales after the impact of the pandemic. Similar shops operate in other non-European Union countries such as Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, and the Middle East, Asia and Australia. AGS Airports, which runs Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton said it had written to Rishi Sunak and local MPs “to highlight this as a possible jobs boost and revenue source”.

Police Officer A MAN will stand trial accused of demanding entry into a neighbour’s property by impersonating a police officer. Edward Ferguson allegedly simulated talking into a police radio at the property in Glasgow’s Possilpark on May 6 2020. The 63-year-old is further alleged to have repeatedly banged on the window and door.
READ MORE: It is also stated that he gesticulated in an aggressive manner while demanding entry. Ferguson pleaded not guilty to separate charges of behaving in a threatening or abusive behaviour and impersonating a police officer. A trial was fixed for May this year by Sheriff Gerry McMillan and Ferguson remains on bail for the matter.
