This year's Otto Schott Research Award went to two European researchers: Professor Alicia Durán from the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) in Madrid, Spain, and Professor Daniel Neuville from the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris at the University of Paris.

The University of Bremen’s MINTScience blog explains challenging research topics. Now the editorial team was successful in the MINTchallenge. In the competition of the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft it convinced the jury with its blog and took 3rd place.
Almost 50 teams from all over Germany took part in the MINT challenge. The jury rated them as particularly exemplary and innovative. The editorial team of the University of Bremen is pleased to be able to decorate the ScienceBlog with the title ‘excellent’ and the logo of the MINT challenge in the future . “We are united by a fascination for science and a passion for writing,” says Ronja Gronemeyer. The physics student has been a member of the editorial team for a few months and was largely responsible for the application. “We look behind closed laboratory and institute doors and share our insights with a diverse readership.”
