LGIM launches digital payments ETF By Jean-Baptiste Andrieux 27 th May 2021 11:34 am Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) is launching a fund that will give investors exposure to digital payment technologies. The UCTIS ETF (‘the Fund’) aims to exploit the significant growth potential from the global transition to a cashless economy. The new fund invests in firms with a minimum free float market capitalisation of $200m (£142m) and a minimum three-month average daily trading volume of $1m (£707,850). It draws from a pool of more than 150 companies engaged in the digital payments value-chain. LGIM head of ETFs Howie Li said: “The digital payments revolution offers significant growth potential, underpinned by secular, long-term dynamics including the global shift to e-commerce, greater adoption of smartphones in emerging markets and developing safe, secure online payments.
