Yanga Media Officer Hassan Bumbuli has now confirmed they have received a clearance to use the player in their league matches and he will be in contention to start against promoted side Dodoma Jiji on Saturday.
“We have finished all his paperwork and now the player is free to play for us,” Bumbuli told reporters in Arusha. “It will now depend with the coach if he is ready to use him, he is with the squad in Arusha and everything is confirmed now.
On the team’s preparations, Bumbuli said: “We have had good preparations heading into the match against Dodoma, we were supposed to play against them in Dar es Salaam but we decided to shift the match to Arusha so that our fans in the town can also see the team in action.
Yanga spotted Ntibazonkiza during a friendly between Tanzania and Burundi in which he scored the lone goal as they beat Taifa Stars at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
He was signed immediately after the game but could not feature for the side until the mini-transfer window which opened on December 16, meaning he is now eligible to turn out for the giants in the Mainland Premier League.
The striker has now said he will strive to help the team reach their targets after making his debut with the two goals.
“I’m happy to play for Yanga, they approached me in their quest to reinforce their squad and I said let me go for the challenge to see how we can build the team altogether,” Ntibazonkiza said as quoted by
Sokalabongo reported as quoted from the
Champion.
“That’s after the coach made recommendations for the registration of new players and there are those who will be taken on loan while others will be released altogether after failing to show competition in the team.
“Among the players who may be left out is keeper [Shikhalo] who has failed to challenge Metacha for the starting role since joining the side and thus warming the bench.
“So his bosses may leave him out so as to get a chance to sign an international player, Shikhalo is a good goalkeeper but he has failed to give Metacha opposition.”
“If the opportunity [of signing players] will come, we will add some players but not for the sake of just signing but rather, we will be keen to see what extra skills he has to benefit the team,” Kaze said as quoted by
The Burundian, who is yet to lose a match since joining the Jangwani giants as a replacement for fired Serbian Zlatko Krmpotic, has further said he will soon unveil a list of players who will be released to join other clubs on loan deals.
Yanga maintained their top spot at the 18-team league table after cruising past Mwadui FC 5-0 in a match played at CCM Kambarage Stadium in Shinyanga on Saturday.
I have young players in the team who are still gaining experience, Adam told reporters. The players I have will not give me the results we need as a team and I will definitely bring in players. I do not want to say the number of players we will sign. I will bring on board as many quality players as the club can allow.
The tactician has also explained the plan the team had in the match against Timu ya Wananchi and how everything crumbled. Yanga is a good team and we knew winning against them would be a tall order, Adam added.
