In outbreak of COVID-19 was reported at Detour Gold Mine in Cochrane Thursday.
Six people at the mine were reported to have contracted the virus, according to the Porcupine Health Unit.

“The PHU is working closely with Kirkland Lake Gold,” which owns the Detour Mine, “to ensure the infection prevention and control measures are in place and management is taking all the necessary precautions to reduce the risk of infection and prevent the transmission of COVID-19,” PHU stated in a release.
