Attorneys for Adael Garcia say the man was booked into the Harris County jail on November 24, 2022, and was brutally beaten on November 26. FOX 26 also confirms that state jail inspectors visited the facility Tuesday afternoon.
Shannon Herklotz, Assistant Chief for Detentions Command will be resigning effective January 20. His leave comes on the heels of plaguing issues surrounding the jail including overcrowding, inmate deaths, and high-turnover for deputies.
