N.J. middle school teacher charged with sexual assault of minor, police say

A 53-year-old teacher at a middle school in Union County was arrested last week and charged with sexually assaulting a minor who “was known to him,” according to a joint statement from the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Piscataway Police Department.
Harry Wyatt, of Piscataway, was arrested on Christmas Eve and charged with sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities announced Monday. No other details about Wyatt’s arrest were released.
Wyatt is a teacher at the Leonard V. Moore Middle School, which is part of the Roselle School District, the office said. Officials at the school could not immediately be reached for comment Monday evening.
