Still haunted by the accident that killed her husband Alex and left her with severe memory loss, Detective Jess Savage (Kate Elliott) is trying to move on, as the second series of The Gulf (which debuts at 9pm on Monday, March 1 on Three and then on ThreeNow) gets underway. After all, she has her pregnant daughter Ruby (Timmie Cameron) to look after. That’s tempered though with the guilt of having just remembered her involvement in her husband’s death and the recent trauma of her long-term mentor’s attempts to kill her only being thwarted by her partner Detective Justin Harding (Ido Drent) putting bullets into his head.
