A man will appear in court charged with the attempted murder of notorious gangster Samer Marcus in Sydney s southwest last year.
Samer Marcus, 45, was left in a critical condition after being shot in the head at close range on Campbelltown Road in Denham Court on November 6.
The senior member of the notorious Assyrian gang DLASTHR (The Last Hour) was rushed to Liverpool Hospital with severe injuries to his chest, face and back.
Criminal groups squad commander Detective Acting Superintendent Jayne Doherty told reporters at the time that Marcus was co-operating with police from hospital, The Australian reported. His future quality of life will be severely impacted, the superintendent said.

More than 2000 cannabis plants have been seized at a NSW property as police swooped on an organised crime group.
Officers executed a search warrant at the semi-rural property at Schofields on Sydney s northwest fringe about 7am on Tuesday morning.
They found 2080 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of $5.8 million and arrested two men and a woman at the property.
