UCSB battled back from a 14-point second-half deficit and beat Cal State Fullerton, 65-61, in a Big West men’s basketball game at the Thunderdome on Saturday.
JaQuori McLaughlin was huge down the stretch for the Gauchos. With his team down 59-56 with 3:26 to go, the senior guard drove and fed Miles Norris for a dunk. He made two free throws for a 60-59 lead and then fed backcourt mate Devearl Ramsey for a huge three-pointer with 57 seconds left for a 63-59 advantage.
