House of Zwide will replace Rhythm City on e.tv

A sizzling new high fashion drama called âHouse of Zwideâ is set to take the place of e.tvâs âRhythm Cityâ from Monday, July 19.
The free-to-air channel announced its decision to axe the long running daily drama in November last year as part of its a business strategy.
The showâs last episode will air on July 16 at 7pm, marking the end of an era for the much-loved daily.
âHouse of Zwideâ, produced by Bomb Productions and VideoVision Entertainment, will introduce viewers to a fashionable Joburg family who bring high drama and ruthless ambition as they rise in the cut-throat fashion industry.

With only a few weeks left before the 14-year run of
Rhythm City comes to an end, free to air channel e.tv has revealed its replacement.
House of Zwide, produced by Bomb Productions and VideoVision Entertainment which has been described as a high-end drama series, will take the reins on Monday, 19 July.
Mzansi will be introduced to a fashionable Joburg family who will bring high drama and ruthless ambition as they rise in the cut-throat fashion industry.
The show will feature some of South Africa’s most loved and award-winning stars with a generous dash of new talent. The essence of the show is based on the saying: “Your dreams are valid, no matter your age”.

Isibaya, actress Thembisa Nxumalo (née Mdoda) has expressed just how emotional her last day on set was.
Thembisa played the role of the sassy Amanda Molefenyane, described by the drama as “a high level corporate woman in her late 30s, very successful and an executive for a Sandton based asset management company”, who used to be married to Fenyang (played by Aubrey Poo).
She only joined in 2019 but has loved every moment and has even been quoted as saying the role of Amanda is the best she s ever played.
