Laing O’Rourke wins £600m Olympia main works contract
Laing O’Rourke has landed the £600m main works contract for the Olympia scheme in west London.
The firm will deliver seven new buildings on the site, including two hotels, a 4,400-seat music venue and a 1,575-seat theatre. Olympia Central Hall will be demolished while the Olympia National and Olympia Grand, both Grade II-listed, will be retained. Restaurants, retail and office space will also be built at the site.
Laing O’Rourke was been picked by investors and developers Yoo Capital and Deutsche Finance International (DFI) after completing a year’s worth of enabling works at the project.
