Honoring those who deserve a huge pat on the back for their work during the pandemic, Sahuarita resident Peniel Macias drew on her creativity, artistic skills and enthusiasm to complete two murals in Tucson.
A âStay Safe Tucsonâ mural on historic Fourth Avenue at Sixth Street was painted this past October for a nonprofit and honors Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, pictured wearing a mask in this art work.

It seems like almost every Tucson wall tells a story.
Some of them involve the Virgen de Guadalupe and others involve a man s skull shooting colorful beams of light into the ether.
