Authorities have charged a man with several crimes, including first-degree murder, in connection to the deadly shooting of an 18-year-old Tuesday in Des Moines.
Des Moines police say Jordan Mangum and Jessica Wheeler held a woman against her will for 18 hours last month. Criminal complaints say the victim was choked, ran over by a car, and had her throat slit before being dropped off at a hospital.
Police say Theo James Larkpor, 21, of Des Moines, was at the Pappajohn Sculpture Park when he fired multiple shots, at least two of which struck massive glass panels at the Krause Gateway Center across Grand Avenue.
