hotel shootout. a sting operation at a hotel ends with one man dead and shaken guests. it led police to a counterfeit money ring. hello. i m jessica kartalija. don is off today. two more men are in custody after that counterfeit money ring that unfolded just before midnight at the ramada inn in pikesville. mike hellgren has more on what happened, including guests who lived through it all. reporter: good afternoon. police described this as a major counterfeiting ring with ties up and down the east coast. guests said they didn t notice anything unusual about the men who were staying here for three days until the gun battle. the terrifying incident unfolded just before midnight. it has a target and bowling aley next door. the baltimore county police and the secret service had set up a sting operation. the three men inside somehow found police were on to them. police say one pulled out his weapon and fired at detectives who fired back, killing him. the gun battle stunned the gu
four men were affiliated with morgan state s marching band at one time. two were current members, the others were former members. police say the sexual assault happened june 30th at an apartment where one of the suspects lived in northeast. the 20-year-old victim says she went to the apartment with the men and once inside police say they pulled her pants off, held her down and sexually assaulted her. the suspects had been identified as 30-year-old bernard james, the former percussion coordinator. 24-year-old dante green and two marching band students,dale walton and 21-year-old howard cook. the victim was familiar with at least one of the suspects and the four were arrested. reporter: the four are held at central booking without bale, charged with sex offense, assault, perverted practice and conspiracy. in the studio, linda so, abc2 news. he was trusted to protect two governors but now a state trooper s integrity is being questioned as he faces charges related to child
