Traverse City s Cherry T Ball Drop Goes Virtual to Ring in 2021

9 & 10 News December 30, 2020 Instead, organizers have come up with a different way to make the tradition continue! The CherryT Ball Drop is going virtual to ring in 2021. Unlike some other virtual events in 2020, the CherryT Ball Drop will happen LIVE! To discourage crowds, the ball drop will happen from a super secret location and be broadcast live on the CherryT Ball Drop Facebook page. The four’s Xavier Hershovitz and chief photojournalist Derrick Larr caught up with the National Cherry Festival’s executive director to learn more about enjoying the festivities from the comfort of home. Toast Away 2020 While Supporting Northern Michigan Events with MAWBY s Ball Drop Bubbly

9 & 10 News December 28, 2020 2021 is just a few days away! After this crazy year, we all need a good drink to toast with on New Year’s Eve. MAWBY in Suttons Bay partnered with the Festival Foundation to create their special Ball Drop Bubbly. A portion of the proceeds from the limited time sparkling wine will go to the Festival Foundation, which produces popular events like the National Cherry Festival and the Cherry T Ball Drop. The special Ball Drop Bubbly is only offered for a limited time. It can be found at stores across Northern Michigan, and MAWBY’s website and tasting room.

Oliver Art Center in Frankfort Offers Free Holiday Craft Kits, Online Classes to Engage Youth in the Arts

9 & 10 News December 18, 2020 The Oliver Art Center in Frankfort has found a way to still connect and celebrate young artists this holiday season! They have created different craft kits and online classes to help youth of all ages connect with their artistic abilities. With the support of MI Pest of Beulah, OAC is giving out arts and crafts bags at no charge to area families. There are two different age groups: 7 and under and 8 and up and the bags are first come first serve until they run out. Each bag contains all the supplies needed for a couple seasonal craft projects.
