A man and woman have been indicted on state charges in connection with the disappearance and killing of Kamille “Cupcake” McKinney, a three-year-old Alabama girl found dead in a dumpster in 2019.
The toddler died of asphyxiation on Oct. 12, the same day she went missing from a Birmingham birthday party, but it took investigators more than a week to uncover her remains.
A Jefferson County grand jury on Tuesday indicted 40-year-old Patrick Devone Stallworth and his 30-year-old girlfriend, Derick Irisha Brown, on capital murder of a child under the age of 14 and capital murder during a kidnapping in connection with the slaying, according to WBRC.
