NAUGATUCK Police say three men in their 20s were seriously injured after they crashed into a stone wall in a Jeep Liberty Sport at about 1:30 a.m. Friday.
A Middlebury man, 25-year-old Tyler Posser, was driving west on Aetna Street when his SUV crossed the T-intersection at Hoadley Street and smashed into the wall, according to police.
Firefighters extricated Posser and his two passengers, 27-year-old Derek Ritter and 22-year-old David Roskosky, both of Naugatuck, police said.
Police say all three were taken to local hospitals with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries.
The Naugatuck Valley Collision Investigation Team responded and is investigating the crash.

Early yesterday morning, Thursday, May 27, 2021, at around 12:30 AM, Naugatuck Police received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Seth Drive at Highland Avenue. Officers soon arrived, found the vehicle in question and attempted to question them.
According to the NPD, the suspect rammed a marked patrol car, occupied by an NPD Officer and their K9 and fled the scene. There was some damage to the officer s vehicle, but the officer and K9 both were uninjured.
The suspect s vehicle is described as a 2013-2016, dark metallic blue, Mercedes E-Class wagon. There will possibly be some damage to the vehicle s headlights and bumper area from the collision with the NPD cruiser.
