Another shooting on interstate 80. Now a man is fighting for his life after taking a bullet to the head. The shooting happened around 2 30 this morning on interstate 80 near the powell street off ramp in emeryville. The victim a 27yearold oakland man in critical condition. Emeryville police found his passenger on the onramp covered in the victims blood. No arrests have been made. This is the 36th freeway shooting in the east basins november. East bay since november. The fact that people dont respect life anymore. Somehow in our country life has become cheaper. There is such division in our society now that people dont understand the consequence of that kind of violence. It is disturbing. We did have five fatalities minimum out of this collision that we know of. An employee confirmed that the Company Received word that one of their buses may be involved in a fatal accident this morning. The Los Angelesbased company had 26 federal safety violations in the past year. Seven of those violations are for this specific bus. Now chp identified the driver at mario david vasquez. He is alive but major injuries. Chp is looking to get a warntd a warrant for the cell phone. Several other people were transported to ambulances.
