Mike Dreith was elected Fairfield Mayor last night, defeating Teresa Robinson and Nate McGaha. Dreith collected a total of 762 votes. His opponents had 302 and 48, respectively, after unofficial totals. In Cisne, Roy Atwood was re-elected Mayor, defeating Ken Neff and Christy King. Atwood had 77 votes compared to 68 and six from his opponents. Fairfield’s Alderman races were tightly contested, with one still up in the air. In Ward 2, Larry Vest, Angel Maguire, and Clifford Reever each had 58 votes. County Clerk Liz Ann Woodrow says three mail-in ballots remain at large. Dewey Eckleberry defeated Cody Attebury in Ward 1, Eugene McGill defeated Dick Clark in Ward 3, and Terry Stahl beat challenger Ed Prince in Ward 4. In Albion, the only contested race was for Ward 1, where Heather Borowiak defeated Levi Fenton.

In the program introduction, Boston Ballet artistic director Mikko Nissinen calls Yakobson a “monumental choreographer” who “transformed the art form,” and though Boston Ballet last presented Yakobson’s work in 2019, it’s still a treat to watch these pieces again. TLU celebrates December 2020 student-athlete graduates with senior watch ceremony

Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today Dec 30, 2020 7:52 AM (Seguin) – Texas Lutheran University Athletics celebrated the upcoming graduation of 12 student-athletes with the department’s annual senior watch ceremony. The ceremony was held December 10 in TLU’s Jackson Auditorium. TLU student-athletes receive senior watches for the completion of their undergraduate degrees. Student-athletes also must complete their collegiate careers as members in good standing of their respective athletics programs. This year’s group of graduating seniors combined to claim an NCAA national championship in softball (2019), a national runner-up in the men’s 4×100 meter relay (2018), two individual All-America honors, and a combined eight conference team championships.
